
Tomorrow, on Monday, the Emirati Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi will officially open the 12th edition of the Mansoor bin Zayed Cup for football, organized by the President's Administration. During the opening, participants from the Arab Gulf Cup 18 and 21 will meet.
Teams of football players from Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE will be distributed among the groups. The 'Cup 18' will feature renowned players such as Oualid Salem and Ismail Matar, while in the 'Cup 21' will be Yusuf al-Birk, Omar al-Abd al-Rahman, and other stars.
After the demonstration match, games will take place during the group stage of the tournament. The number of participating teams is 16, with competitions taking place until March 20. They will follow the knockout tournament system, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals. International referees from the Football Federation of the UAE will officiate.
In group super leagues, there will be opportunities to showcase their professional skills for football players from all over the world, and each team is required to have at least three local players over the age of 18.
